TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed three individuals to the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County. The newly appointed Chair is Kevin Cooper, while Tiffany Barfield and Jennifer Infanti will serve as members of the coalition.

Cooper, a resident of Sarasota, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium and has previously held positions as President and CEO of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and Director of Community Investment for the Gulf Coast Community Foundation. Cooper is also a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kent State University and a master's degree in business administration from Florida State University.

Joining Cooper on the coalition is Tiffany Barfield, also from Sarasota. Barfield currently serves as the Government Affairs Director for yes. every kid. She has previously held positions as Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy for NAF and Chair of the National Down Syndrome Society. Barfield earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University.

Jennifer Infanti, another resident of Sarasota, rounds out the trio of appointments. She is the Founder and Treasurer of Holiday House of SRQ and is actively involved in her community. Infanti also serves on the Education Foundation of Sarasota County Board of Directors and is a member of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation Leadership Institute. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in business management from the University of Florida.

These appointments come at an important time for early learning in Sarasota County, with these individuals bringing diverse backgrounds and experiences to help shape policies that will benefit young children in their community.
