TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed two new members and reappointed two existing members to the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County.
Renee Chiea, a Compliance Director for Elevance Health, Inc., has been appointed to the board. Chiea is a mother of two sons who attend Pinellas County Public Schools and holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology from California State University.
Joining her is Alicia McShae, who currently serves as a Client Relations Manager at Franklin Templeton Investments. McShae is actively involved in her community as a member of the Junior League of St. Petersburg and MavPAC Tampa Bay. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from Pennsylvania State University.

In addition to these new appointments, Governor DeSantis has also reappointed Kristen Gnage and James Millican to the board.
Gnage, an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, brings valuable legal expertise to the board. She is a member of the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Gnage holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Boston College and a juris doctor from Stetson University.
Millican, Division Chief and Fire Marshall of Lealman Fire District, has been reappointed as well. He currently serves as President of the Florida Association of Special Districts and is a board member of the Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board. Millican received his emergency medical technician and state firefighter certification from St. Petersburg College.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate before they can officially join the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County.
