Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Andrew Clark, Sanjena Clay, Christian Jensen, John Williams and Jay Lyons to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery and Consumer Services.

Andrew Clark

Clark, of Ocala, is the Chief Customer Officer at Foundation Partners Group. He is a member of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association, Independent Funeral Directors of Florida, National Funeral Directors Association and the Cremation Association of North America. Clark earned his degree in funeral services from St. Petersburg College.

Sanjena Clay

Clay, of West Palm Beach, has held numerous positions with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office including Senior Law Enforcement Planner, Human Resources Division Manager and Staff Inspections Section Manager. She is a founding member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and serves on the Board of Trustees of Edward Waters College. Clay earned her bachelor's degree from Kent State University and her master's degree from Lynn University.

Jay Lyons

Lyons, of Boca Raton, is the Director of Congregation Chevra Kadisha and the South Florida Jewish Cemetery. Previously, he has held positions with Maimonides Campus Outreach, Torah Academy of Boca Raton and the Jewish Upbringing Matters Program. Lyons earned his bachelor's degree in Talmudic Literature from the Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study and completed his Rabbinic Ordination at the Rabbinical Seminary of America.

Christian Jensen

Jensen, of Pensacola, is a Licensed Funeral Director and Owner of CEJ South, Inc. Previously, he was in management at Carriage Services of Panama City. Jensen has been involved with his local chamber of commerce, Rotary International and the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Oklahoma University and his degree in mortuary science from Fayetteville Technical Community College.

John Williams

Williams, of Venice, is the President and Owner of Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory and Venice Memorial Gardens. He is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Certified Crematory Operator and Certified Public Accountant. Williams is also a past-president of the Florida Funeral Directors Association. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Troy University and his degree in mortuary science from St. Petersburg College.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
