TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Dave Kerner to the Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees. Kerner, who currently serves as the Executive Director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, brings a wealth of experience and community involvement to this new role.

Prior to his current position, Kerner was elected as a member of the Florida House of Representatives for District 87 and also served as both Palm Beach County Mayor and Commissioner. With a background in law enforcement, he began his career in 2005 and was recognized as the City of Alachua Police Department Officer of the Year.

Kerner is no stranger to Palm Beach State College, having attended the institution himself. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree and juris doctor from the University of Florida.
