TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Alexis A. Lambert as the new Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection in Tallahassee, Florida. Lambert brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having served as Chief of Staff for the Division of Bond Finance since 2018.

During her time at the division, Lambert has played a crucial role in supporting the Governor's debt reduction strategy, resulting in a significant decrease in the state's outstanding debt since its establishment. Prior to this position, she served as Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Health (DOH), where she oversaw all department activities and managed its 15,000 employees. In addition, she also acted as a liaison to the Department of Environmental Protection.
