~ Panama City Beach, Fla. - Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the return of Florida's Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday, providing families with a full month of savings on essential school supplies and more. The holiday will run from Friday, August 1 through Sunday, August 31.
In a statement, Governor DeSantis expressed his pride in delivering additional sales tax holidays for Florida residents. He emphasized the importance of supporting families as they prepare for the upcoming school year and highlighted the benefits of cutting taxes and growing the state's economy.
Florida has consistently maintained a low unemployment rate and holds a AAA credit rating from all major agencies. Earlier this year, Governor DeSantis signed the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget which included $2 billion in tax relief. This included the permanent repeal of the Business Rent Tax and several targeted sales tax holidays.
