Florida: Governor DeSantis Appoints Four to the Clay County Development Authority

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed two new members and reappointed two existing members to the Clay County Development Authority. The newly appointed members are Dennis "Rick" Dingle and Dell Hoard Sr., while the reappointed members are Tina Clary and Tammy "Chereese" Stewart.

Dennis "Rick" Dingle brings a wealth of experience to the authority as he currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Clay County Clerk of the Court and Comptroller's Office. He is also an active member of the Florida Government Finance Officers Association. Dingle holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Flagler College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of North Florida.

Dell Hoard Sr., owner of Grumpy's Restaurant, has been appointed to the authority after previously serving as a Transportation Coordinator for Walmart Transportation Center. A lifelong resident of Clay County, Hoard attended St. Johns River State College.

Tina Clary, Principal and Chief Executive Officer for Clary & Associates, has been reappointed to the authority. She brings with her extensive experience in various organizations such as the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society, American Society of Highway Engineering, and Clay County Chamber of Commerce. Clary holds an associate degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville.

Tammy "Chereese" Stewart has also been reappointed to the authority. She currently serves as Assistant County Manager for the Clay County Board of County Commissioners and was previously elected as a Clay County Commissioner. Stewart is an active member of organizations such as the Clay County Cattlemen Association, Clay County Farm Bureau, and Florida Planning and Zoning Association. She holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in educational leadership and administration from the University of North Florida.

The appointments made by Governor DeSantis demonstrate his commitment to selecting highly qualified individuals who will contribute to the development and growth of Clay County. The newly appointed and reappointed members will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the county and its communities.
