~ On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Governor Ron DeSantis issued a proclamation to honor Patriot Day and remember the lives lost in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The proclamation was directed to Brian Fienemann, Director of Real Estate Management and Development, and stated that it has been 24 years since the United States was attacked by radical Islamic terrorists.

The Nation stands united in remembrance of the 2,977 lives lost on that tragic day, including first responders, local law enforcement, and military personnel who showed immense bravery in the face of terror. In honor of those who were lost, Governor DeSantis has ordered for the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds from sunrise to sunset on Thursday.
