WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Floridant -- Florida DCF Exposed in Critical Data Breach
WEST PALM BEACH, FL - Corruption Interruption, Inc., a Florida-based government accountability nonprofit, has uncovered a serious data breach within the FL Department of Children and Families (DCF). The breach was identified during a routine public records review and includes the release of unredacted Social Security numbers and personal identifying information (PII) belonging to multiple individuals not party to the request.
The records were obtained under lawful request #P203487-121224 and reviewed by Corruption Interruption's founder, who is also the subject of a yearslong pattern of unsubstantiated DCF investigations stemming from repeated false reports.
"This isn't just a clerical mistake — this is a systemic failure by a government agency entrusted to protect families," said Justin Hair, founder of Corruption Interruption. "Instead of safeguarding privacy, DCF released sensitive data with zero accountability. We are demanding answers, not just for us — but for every Florida family that's ever been caught in their system."

Key Facts:
● Records released by DCF included unredacted Social Security numbers, names, addresses and private case details of uninvolved third parties.
● No prior notice or protective measures were provided.
● The breach appears to violate both Florida Administrative Code 65C-30.001 and federal data protection laws, including provisions under HIPAA and state privacy statutes.
● Despite multiple formal requests, DCF has refused to provide lawful disclosure of allegations made against the Corruption Interruption founder, now known to be baseless and repetitive.
What's at Stake:
The founder, who has been the target of over six prior DCF reports determined to be unfounded, discovered this breach while reviewing documents tied to his current open case. None of the prior claims have resulted in findings of abuse, neglect, or wrongdoing.
"DCF is using their authority to investigate families without following proper process — and now we've caught them exposing private citizens' data while doing it," Hair added.
What Corruption Interruption Is Demanding:
