~ Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered for flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the recent shooting at Florida State University. The tragic incident occurred on Thursday, April 17, 2025, when a gunman opened fire on the campus, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuring five others. In recognition of the lives lost and the bravery displayed by first responders, Director of Real Estate Development and Management, Brian Fienemann received a directive from Governor DeSantis to lower all United States and Florida state flags at local and state buildings, installations, and grounds until sunset on Monday, April 21, 2025. This gesture serves as a tribute to those affected by this senseless act of violence.
