PALM COAST, Fla. - Floridant -- The Flagler Sportfishing Club is pleased to have donated $10,000 to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 86 Tuesday night at the club's October meeting. The donation was from the proceeds from the club's 2020 Annual Classic that was held last month. The meeting was held at the VFW post 8696 located at 47 Old Kings Rd, N. Palm Coast. The money raised will be used for operating expenses at the DAV.

"We were happy to once again donate to our friends at the DAV," said Club President Chris Christian. "The money donated was raised through our 24th Annual Classic Tournament," Chris added.

The club has over 300 members with about 1/3 of them whom are veterans. There were 60 boats and one kayak that entered the tournament this year. It was led by co-directors Dana Syens and Rita Waddell and had 120 participants.
