PALM COAST, Fla. - Floridant -- The Flagler Beach Historical Museum (FBHM) announced today that Executive Director Patti King has resigned from her position, effective November 28, 2025, to focus on her duties as Mayor of the City of Flagler Beach.
"We are grateful for Patti's service to the Museum and understand her decision to dedicate her full attention to leading our city as Mayor," said Robert Creal, FBHM Board President. "This transition presents an exciting opportunity to welcome new leadership with fresh ideas and energy to guide the Museum into its next chapter."
Mayor King expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to serve the Museum: "I have enjoyed working with the Board and community to strengthen the Flagler Beach Historical Museum. Now is the time for new thoughts, innovative ideas, and new energy to carry it into the future."
The Museum's Board of Directors is immediately launching a search for a new Executive Director. This part-time, mostly work-from-home position (there is no dedicated office space) is structured as a 1099 contractor role paying up to $2,000 per month. The position requires proven experience in museum administration, collections management, fundraising, community engagement, and program development. While a bachelor's degree is preferred, equivalent experience will be strongly considered. The ideal candidate will bring creative vision and collaborative leadership to this historic gem at the heart of Flagler Beach.
