PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Floridant -- FDR TrainingSM, a qualified training activity in accordance with OPM's 5 CFR 410.404, announced program details for the event taking place July 28 – 31, 2025 at the New Orleans Marriott.

This year's FDR Training program will provide in-depth training on the most crucial federal workplace challenges, including Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Legal Issues in Federal Employment Law.   • What HR Practitioners Need to Know About Resignations and Retirements – This two-part session will examine types of retirement that might apply in connection with an adverse action as well as the impact of an early separation on benefits.
  • Navigating the New Schedule Policy/Career – Lead by attorney Kevin Owen, this session will provide an overview of the executive actions, OPM guidance, and regulations implementing Schedule Policy/Career.
  • The New Rules for Probationary and Trial Periods – In this session, attorney Robert Erbe will explain how Executive Order 14284 marks a pivotal shift in federal employment practices – and what agencies must do to comply.  
  • Suitability Determinations and Actions Under the Trump Administration – This session with Kevin Owen will provide an overview of the changes to the suitability regulations, and the process for making determinations and taking actions under the Trump administration.
  • Administrative Leave: Dissecting OPM's New Regulations – Noted leave expert Barbara Haga will break down the key issues addressed in OPM's long-awaited regulations on administrative leave.
