FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Family Initiative, Inc., a Florida-based nonprofit organization serving children and families living with autism spectrum disorder, has announced the establishment of the Pat Webster Scholarship fund to provide opportunities for children, teens and young adults to succeed.
"The scholarship fund is in honor of co-founder Eileen Webster's mother, Pat Webster, and the force of good Pat brought throughout her life," says David Brown, MSW, co-founder and president of Family Initiative. "Eileen's foundational role with Family Initiative was an immensely proud sentiment for Pat as a mother. Through kindness, compassion and humor, Pat Webster made every person she met feel special and accepted."
Pat's legacy will live on through the children, teens and young adults with autism who will gain access to Family Initiative's life-changing programs. The Pat Webster Memorial Scholarship fund will allow children and teens to participate in Family Initiative's summer camp at no cost to their families.
