What does it mean to own a modern dental business? Dr. Alex Planes and Jeremy Applegate discuss the importance of dentists growing as leaders and taking charge of their businesses in order for them to grow.
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Floridant -- There is a difference between a dentist and an entrepreneur. As Jeremy notes in this new episode of Life Stream With Dr. Alex Planes "the dentist is content with earning six-hundred to seven-hundred thousand dollars whereas the entrepreneur is asking 'how can I increase that, how can I get to a million'". This drive for improvement is the main focus of this episode Are You Just A Dentist?.
For Dr. Alex Planes, his drive has been clear since a young age. He says "my main purpose was to become a dentist but I made sure I always had that entrepreneurship spirit in my work". The grind and hustle it takes to improve has been a driving force in Dr. Planes's life as he has continued to seek out opportunities for growing his business and expanding into various avenues of revenue.

An important part of this is dentists examining themselves and finding the critical gaps within their practice where they can grow and expand revenue. Sometimes, this means dentists taking leaps of faith with new courses that will take them away from the dental chair but give them new skills to improve their time at the dental chair during advanced treatments like dental implant surgery. "If you take those leaps of faith, that's what's going to help you excel and grow in your practice," Dr. Planes says.

Dr. Alex Planes hunger and drive has led him to having his successful dental business, Implants4All, while expanding into other life streams of revenue like this podcast. When dentists improve their drive and find their hunger, they too can have a business that is successful in growing year after year, even in hard times.
