TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Floridant -- De'Garryan Andrews is set to return to live theater after 10 years with his highly anticipated role in Anthony Lamarr White's gripping new play, "Hour of the Wolf." This powerful production follows the journey of an ex-convict who, after serving a 30-year sentence for murder, is finally ready to share his story. As with any intense drama, unexpected twists arise to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
Andrews, a native of Havana, Florida, has long been passionate about acting, inspired by Black performers who broke boundaries on the big screen. His path to this thrilling role is deeply personal, as he dedicates his performance to the memory of his late mother, whose support fueled his artistic journey. Andrews reflects on how he honed his skills at New Jerusalem M.B. Church in his hometown, eventually expanding his formal training at Florida State University, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and the Tasha Smith Actor's Workshop.
