BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Floridant -- Curran Young Construction has successfully completed two major projects at South Seas on Captiva Island, marking significant milestones in the property's next chapter of new and refreshed amenities following recovery from Hurricane Ian.
The new Beach House restaurant opened in October 2025 and Captiva Landing, the new water feature at South Seas, officially opened on Dec. 22, 2025.
The Beach House, a $6.6 million, 6,667-square-foot beachfront dining venue, was built from the ground up to deliver durability and elegance. Built with concrete masonry unit walls, concrete slabs and metal roofing, the restaurant combines structural strength with coastal sophistication.
Along with a mouth-watering menu, Beach House offers a relaxed resort atmosphere with natural wood and creamy white finishes complemented by porcelain tile floors, an exposed ceiling and a spacious outdoor patio overlooking the Gulf. Four oversized bifold doors create an open-air dining experience with panoramic waterfront views.

Captiva Landing, a 2.5-acre water destination, introduces a dynamic mix of family friendly attractions, including Bottlenose Bay splash zone with six slides, the Gulfstream lazy river, The Cove relaxation pool, Flippers quick-service restaurant, a classic arcade and Camp-tiva, a nature-based kids club.
Beach House and Captiva Landing are just the latest projects to be completed as part of Curran Young's work at South Seas. Curran Young also provided comprehensive preconstruction and construction management services for the broader South Seas Resort redevelopment that included The Clutch, an open-air golf course clubhouse overlooking the new Beau Welling-designed golf course and the Gulf. Additionally, Curran Young completed significant renovations of several dining options at South Seas – Redfish Grill, Scoops and Slices and Harborside.
Overlooking the Bayview pools and Gulf, Redfish Grill is a two-story restaurant offering indoor and outdoor casual dining with expansive porches and an event space on the second floor. A brand-new kitchen serves both Redfish and the adjacent Scoops & Slices, which offers a convenient dining option near the Bayview Pools.

Curran Young also completed a $2.85 million renovation to create Harborside, an upscale waterfront dining experience overlooking the marina with a formal Italian steakhouse-inspired design. The project merged four dining rooms into an open-concept space while preserving many of the preexisting core wood structures.
In total, Curran Young completed 11 projects to date at South Seas to help both rebuild and modernize the 330‑acre property following Hurricane Ian.
Curran Young implemented a phased approach to the construction projects at South Seas, adhering to strict FEMA compliance with a focus on elevating structures for flood protection and upgrading infrastructure, all while preserving the island's charm and improving long-term resilience.
