BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Floridant -- Curran Young Construction has completed a major enhancement program at Kensington Golf & Country Club, culminating in a ribbon‑cutting ceremony held on Jan. 5, to reopen upgraded facilities and new amenities for members.
The program modernizes the 30‑year‑old club's core spaces and adds a resort‑style pool, positioning Kensington for the future with elevated dining, recreation and pro‑shop experiences. A new covered dining space added during the renovation will enable the club to host larger club events and private parties, including weddings and non-profit events of up to 330 people.
Dan Carpenter, project executive, and Caitrin Beckman, project manager, of Curran Young Construction, joined Board President Mark Elliot, Bob Brown, Bill Burke and Tony Marano from Kensington Golf & Country Club for the ribbon cutting to mark the official completion and reopening of the clubhouse.
The project included renovation of the clubhouse (38,318 square feet), pro shop (4,356 square feet) and maintenance building (8,719 square feet), plus construction of a new resort‑style pool (3,981 square feet). The integrated upgrades deliver a cohesive, contemporary environment with improved functionality and member comfort.

"This milestone reflects our team's commitment to craftsmanship and value," Curran said. "From the clubhouse interiors to the pool and pro shop, every detail was executed to serve Kensington's members today and for years to come."
Kensington's renovation builds on a multi‑year master plan that has added outdoor dining, bocce and pickleball, refreshed the club's fitness facilities and restored the par-71 Robert Trent Jones, Jr. championship golf course, which has hosted several U.S. Open and Florida State Qualifiers. The latest work introduces an expansive lobby with golf-course views, updated kitchen capacity for larger events, expanded covered dining and an upgraded pro shop, aligning the facilities with member demand.
"Country club projects demand precision, steady coordination and respect for operations," said Bruce Young, president of Curran Young. "We're proud to help Kensington deliver an elevated member experience with renovated spaces and resort‑style amenities."
