Community Cooperative's 16th Annual Becoming Cosmopolitan: 'Gone Country' raises $155,000

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- More than 275 guests moseyed to The Ranch Concert Hall and Saloon on Dec. 1 for Community Cooperative's 16^th Annual Becoming Cosmopolitan "Gone Country" fundraising event.

Sponsored by FineMark National Bank & Trust, the popular annual fundraiser brought in $155,000 to enable Community Cooperative to accelerate its programs in the community that directly feed people and nourish lives.

The evening included cowboy cuisine, country cocktails at the watering hole, line dancing, boutique shopping and incredible silent and live auctions – all while raising money to support the mission of ending hunger and homelessness in Lee County.

"Everyone kicked up their heels and opened their hearts to make a big impact on Community Cooperative's ability to continue helping our neighbors in need, many of whom suffered loss of property, homes and even jobs due to Hurricane Ian," said Stefanie Edwards, Community Cooperative CEO. "Between the storm and continued rising costs of rent, goods and services, this fundraiser has never been more important to supporting our mission."
