NAPLES, Fla. - Floridant -- The Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance (IFHA) has received a $5,000 capacity building grant from the Collier Community Foundation to support its upcoming strategic planning initiative. The grant will help the nonprofit update its current strategic plan and position the organization for continued growth and long-term sustainability as it expands its affordable housing community in Immokalee.
The funds will be used to purchase a one-year subscription to PlanPerfect, a strategic planning software designed specifically for nonprofits. The tool will help IFHA refine its goals, strengthen stakeholder collaboration and track progress in real time as it continues development of its affordable housing community for farmworker families and low-income families.
"Updating our strategic plan is essential to ensure that our mission remains aligned with community needs and that we manage our growth responsibly," said Arol Buntzman, CEO of the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance. "Thanks to the Collier Community Foundation's support, we'll have access to tools and data that help our staff, board members and donors work together to create a sustainable, thriving community."

The planning process will include a comprehensive organizational assessment and a structured timeline to track goals and milestones. IFHA's updated strategic plan will guide operations, inform financial projections and incorporate lessons learned from the organization's initial building phases.
Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance recently celebrated the wall-raising of Parker's Place Community Center, the fourth building to be constructed as part of the development of a comprehensive community to provide safe, affordable housing for families in Immokalee. The community will eventually include 128 rental units across eight buildings.

The Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) created in 2018 by a group of concerned citizens who saw the damage done by Hurricane Irma to already substandard trailers and shacks rented by farmworker families and other low-income families in Immokalee. The IFHA vision is for these families to have access to secure, affordable, hurricane-resistant rental housing, which will strengthen the community by fostering health, education, dignity and financial stability. The organization has embarked on a project to create community awareness and raise funds for a 128-rental unit complex in Immokalee. For more information, please visit ImmokaleeFairHousing.org.
