City of Jacksonville Ethics Commission Accepting Applications for volunteer term beginning January 2024

~ The City of Jacksonville is currently accepting applications for a vacancy on the Ethics Commission. The Ethics Commission has a long history of ensuring transparent and open government for the citizens, and has accomplished many feats, such as drafting and implementing the Jacksonville Ethics Code and assisting in the establishment of an independent Office of Ethics, Compliance and Oversight.

According to Chapter 602, Part 9 of the Jacksonville Ordinance Code, the Ethics Commission performs numerous functions, including assisting the Office of Ethics, Compliance and Oversight, and consideration of any potential violation of the Jacksonville Ethics Code.

Completed applications must be submitted via e-mail to ethics@coj.net by Friday, September 22 at 5:00 p.m., after which interviews will be scheduled during a Nominating Committee meeting on Thursday, September 28 in the late afternoon.
