Children's Author Who Lost Ability to Read Pens Halloween Tale

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - Floridant -- As a child, Tracy Warnock lost her ability to read when she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She began hiding in her closet, reading Dr. Seuss books, teaching herself how to read again. His playful rhymes and imaginative stories unlocked her creativity, and made reading feel like an adventure rather than a challenge.

Now, as a children's book author, Warnock brings that same magic to young readers. Through characters like Lukey Loo, she creates fun engaging stories that not only entertain but also introduce new vocabulary in a way that makes learning exciting. Lukey Loo Goes Trick-or-Treating is the first book in her Lukey Loo Adventures series. The colorful picture book offers the delightful Halloween story of Lukey Loo's antics that will keep children in giggles.

"I want my books to inspire children, especially those who struggle with reading," says Warnock. "Through Lukey Loo, I want children to discover the joy of words, their imagination, and the power of believing in themselves." A proud single mom of two grown sons, Tracy finds endless inspiration for her books from the fast-paced, fun-filled chaos of raising rambunctious boys. The second book in the series, Lukey Loo's All-Star Adventures shares his love of sports.

When she's not writing, Tracy enjoys life in sunny South Florida, balancing her love for storytelling with her passion for travel. Last summer, she embarked on her first European adventure and fell in love with beautiful Norway and London. An avid pickleball enthusiast, she plays two to three times a week, embracing the sport's competitive and social spirit.
