FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Charity for Change's fundraising Gala, Planting Seeds of Humanity, will be held Nov. 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Naples Hilton. The event includes a VIP reception, live auction and "Call for Change" cash call. Attendees will dance and be entertained by the Ben Allen Band, led by Ben Allen who finished 6th place on NBC's The Voice.
The fundraising event is inspired by the idea that addressing the root of the problem of hate, violence, bullying and cruelty starts with teaching children to care about each other and the world around them.
"By planting the seeds of character, generosity and gratitude in children, we are giving them the tools they need to sift through the negative influences of the world," said Karen Conley, founder of Charity for Change. "These tools teach children how to manage their emotions, build healthy relationships and make responsible decisions leading to success in school, future careers and life."
The event will raise funds to support Charity for Change's educational programs, which since 2008 have impacted 100,000 children, instilling nine character traits and raising $150,000 for 100 area charities.
