SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - Floridant -- South Seas Resort has officially opened Captiva Landing, a vibrant new aqua adventure designed to bring families together through shared experiences, flexible recreation and island-inspired fun.
Now welcoming guests at the south end of the 330-acre resort, Captiva Landing spans more than 2.5 acres of immersive freshwater attractions and is exclusively available to registered South Seas guests and Club Captiva owners. The new water feature enhances the resort's growing collection of family-focused amenities while offering experiences for guests of all ages.
"South Seas has always been a place where generations of families come together to create memories, and with the opening of Captiva Landing, the resort is well positioned to become the number one family destination in the U.S.," said Shawn Farrell, general manager of South Seas. "The kids can head to the slides or play in the arcade while others can relax on the lazy river. Parents and grandparents can enjoy lunch at a shady spot under an umbrella or choose to jump in and join the kids. With options for all ages, families have the freedom to explore while still sharing those moments together."

Captiva Landing features multiple experience zones designed to balance adventure and relaxation, including:
Multiple local companies contributed to the design and construction of Captiva Landing including Curran Young, general contractor; MHK Architecture for project design; Barraco and Associates, civil engineering and AK Design for interior design.
The opening of Captiva Landing marks another milestone in South Seas' ongoing revitalization, joining recently debuted amenities such as the Beach House restaurant and Harborside Italian steakhouse. Together, these additions reflect the resort's continued evolution while honoring its legacy as a beloved family destination for more than 75 years.

- Gulfstream Lazy River — A scenic float winding beneath palm trees and open skies.
- The Cove — A tranquil retreat offering space to unwind poolside.
- Flippers — A casual quick-service restaurant serving burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and soft-serve ice cream.
- The Arcade — A retro-inspired space featuring classic games.
- Camp-tiva — A nature-based kids club offering hands-on ecological activities within the resort's wildlife preserve.
