Billy B Charters takes the charter business seriously in Key West and is steward of the Everglades and its Aquatic Ecosystem.

ISLAMORADA, Fla. - Floridant -- In Islamorada, Key West, it doesn't matter what captain you speak to, they're being responsible and accountable every single day on the water to help keep it clean, health and growing.

William Brewer, the owner of Billy B Charters in Key West has been a captain for a long time. He's seen it change, he's seen it when it was not as good as it is today.

"The eco system is fragile but it's getting better. The Everglades went through a specific change and what we're doing now is working. The other day we were going through a pass and I looked down at the eelgrass, and it's as green as it's ever been."

Typically in the last three or 4 years, it's been brown and dying off and hanging up on top of the water. Today in many places it's beautiful green. Its looks like it should, it looks and we believe it is healthy.
