CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Floridant -- Cape Christian Fellowship will begin renovations on the popular splash pad at Fellowship Park on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The park, which has been a vibrant gathering place for families and community members since its opening, features playgrounds, multi-purpose fields, covered pavilions, an amphitheater and the splash pad.
The renovation project is part of the church's ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing Fellowship Park, ensuring it remains a safe and enjoyable destination for the Cape Coral community.
"We are excited to start the renovation of the splash pad, which has been a family favorite for years," said Bobby Grasso, executive pastor at Cape Christian Fellowship. "These improvements will help us continue to provide a top-tier recreational space for our community."
The renovated splash pad will feature a robust array of interactive water elements, including water jets, sprays and fountains, designed to create an engaging and visually appealing layout that encourages active play and offers a refreshing experience for children and adults alike. The installation will use advanced, weather-resistant materials, ensuring longevity and minimal maintenance. Cape Christian Fellowship has partnered with Sabal Construction and Roofing LLC, a family-owned, locally operated company, to carry out the splash pad renovation.

The project is expected to be completed in November. A grand reopening celebration will take place to invite families and the community to experience the new features of the splash pad.
Fellowship Park was developed in response to the growing need for public recreational spaces in Cape Coral. In 2010, Cape Christian Fellowship shifted its focus from constructing a multimillion-dollar worship center to creating Fellowship Park, underscoring its commitment to serving the broader community.
"The renovation of the splash pad will further enhance the park's appeal and usability, ensuring it continues to be an asset to our city," said Grasso.
The park will remain open to the public during the renovation, with all other amenities available for use. The church appreciates the community's patience and support as the improvements are made.
