NEW YORK, Aug. 4, 2025 ~ Miami, FL - Canela Media, a leading multicultural media company known for its technology, innovation, and data-driven approach, has announced the appointment of José Molina as their new Chief Financial Officer. Molina brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience in top Hispanic media organizations to his new role. He will be based in Miami and will report directly to Canela Media's Co-Founder and CEO, Isabel Rafferty Zavala.

Molina's impressive background includes senior positions at Univision, SBS, and MundoMax. During his time at these companies, he successfully managed multi-billion-dollar P&Ls, led corporate restructuring efforts, and oversaw strategic planning for complex operations. As a CPA and recognized finance leader in the industry, Molina's expertise in scaling businesses, driving profitability, and managing investor relationships will be crucial in supporting Canela Media's continued growth.

Molina is no stranger to the world of media and broadcasting. Most recently, he served as the CFO of Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS). Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at Univision Communications (SVP & CFO, Networks) and MundoMax (President & CFO), where he specialized in financial strategy, corporate restructuring, and operational efficiency. With a master's and bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Florida and his CPA certification since 1997, Molina began his career at KPMG LLP. He has also been recognized as one of Miami's Top 25 CFOs for 2024 and one of the Broadcast Industry's Best Finance Leaders from 2020 to 2023.
