"Our Children, Our Future" — A Powerful Moment Honoring Haitian Flag Day
MIAMI - Floridant -- Last Sunday, May 18th, 2025, candidate Rod Joseph, a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and community engagement, joined Haitian children on the field at LoanDepot Park as part of the 4th Annual Haitian Heritage Celebration with the Miami Marlins. The event, held on Haitian Flag Day, brought together families, fans, and leaders to celebrate culture, pride, and the promise of a brighter future for Haitian-American youth.
Rod Joseph, a lifelong sports enthusiast and community leader, shared the field with international artist Michael Brun during the pre-game ceremony, and was later joined with a group of Haitian children symbolizing his commitment to the next generation. "Our children are our future," said Joseph. "Standing with them on the field on such a meaningful day is a reminder of why we fight to create safe, strong, and supportive communities."

The event was a festive and heartfelt celebration of Haitian heritage, including performance of 17-year old vocalist Malik Nicolas, honarary first pitch by Michael Brun, and a post-game party by DJ Taleb at the Bill Pen Lounge. For many of the youth in attendance, it was their first time on a Major League Baseball field — a powerful and inspiring experience made even more significant by Rod Joseph's support and presence.
As a candidate who believes deeply in education, mentorship, and youth engagement, Rod Joseph continues to advocate for opportunities that uplift and empower underserved communities across South Florida. Connect with us https://rodjosephforcongress.com
