FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County's fourth Annual Golf Tournament attracted 96 golfers and 14 sponsors whose support will fund lifechanging programs for local children and teens.
Held Oct. 3 at The Club at Renaissance in Fort Myers, the Golf Tournament included 18 holes of championship golf along with on-course activities and challenges, raffle prizes and dinner.
Tournament proceeds will enhance Boys & Girls Clubs' After-school Program and Summer Enrichment Camp. Both programs serve Lee County youth ages six through 18 and focus on five core areas: education and career, service and leadership, health and wellness, the arts, and sports and recreation.
"Club membership continues to grow each year, and we wouldn't be able to expand access to additional children and teens without such strong support from the community," said Denise Gergley, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County. "We have been fortunate to maintain long-term relationships with many of our sponsors, but additional businesses have stepped forward because they recognize our programs truly are making a difference in the lives of Club members."
