JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Floridant -- Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, is hosting "Money & You: Making Money Work" for parents on Friday, Sept. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Jacksonville.
Better Together organizes programs at various locations to bring parents together for community, to support each other and to hear from expert speakers, while their children play supervised in another room. The event will provide background-checked volunteers in addition to dinner, games and fun for children to enjoy while parents attend the event.
During this program, participants will identify personal obstacles to budgeting and create a structure to track and analyze their spending. They will also learn how to apply strategies to manage day-to-day spending. The program will be led by Natalie Woolf, financial center manager at Fifth Third Bank.
Woolf has been with Fifth Third Bank for nearly five years, with positions including part-time teller, float personal banker, personal banker and her current role of financial center manager. Her passion is teaching her clients new things and seeing them succeed in their financial goals.

"Parenting is no easy task. No matter how much we try to prepare and learn, we all will have questions, struggles and concerns at some point when raising our children," said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. "This event allows parents the chance to enjoy dinner, companionship and expert advice, all while their children are under the supervision of background-checked volunteers."
The Sept. 20 event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Journey Church, located at 6225 Lake Gray Blvd. in Jacksonville. Admission is free and includes child care and a Chick-fil-A sponsored dinner.

ABOUT BETTER TOGETHER
Better Together is a nonprofit organization that helps parents going through a hard time keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. Better Together is made up of volunteers who believe helping people help themselves is the best way to restore dignity and bring families together. Through the Better Families program, families are offered a preventive alternative to foster care while they get the help they need. The Better Jobs program was created to address the 76% of families that come to Better Together because of economic hardship tied to unemployment.
