TAMPA, Fla. - Floridant -- Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, has received a $100,000 donation from Old Republic National Title Insurance Company to support its programs.
These funds will focus on supporting Better Together's efforts in the greater Tampa Bay area, including Hillsborough, Hernando, Pinellas and Pasco counties. Old Republic Title's donation should inspire other corporations to give and help families stay together in a safe and loving home.
"Old Republic Title is pleased to support the outstanding work accomplished by Better Together. We appreciate the opportunity to participate through the Florida Strong Families Tax Credit in contributing to this innovative solution to keeping families together," said Carolyn Monroe, president and CEO of Old Republic Title.
Better Together is made up of two programs – Better Families and Better Jobs – that help parents who are going through a hard time to keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. Established in Southwest Florida just over five years ago, the nonprofit's programming has rapidly expanded to reach families in 21 counties across the state. To date, the program has served over 7,000 children and kept 98% of families together, while helping nearly 39,000 job seekers across 22 states find employment.
