TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Floridant -- Better Together, a nonprofit on a mission to build strong families and communities, is partnering with Jacob Chapel Baptist Church to host a community job fair in Tallahassee on Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registration is now open for job seekers to participate in the January event. With a spirit of hope and celebration, the church-based job fairs empower job seekers by connecting them with local employers who are ready to hire, while offering supportive services that foster meaningful connections and increase opportunities for lasting employment. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes, and additional services will be available onsite.
Providing meaningful work opportunities to residents in the Panhandle, the Jan. 27 job fair will take place at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church, located at 2333 Lake Bradford Road in Tallahassee. Job seekers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/JCBC or by texting "JOBS" to 844-987-3949.

With job openings available across various industry sectors, participating employers include AutoZone, Boise Cascade, C2 Global Professional Services, Capital Eurocars, College Cleaning Crew, Cone Distributing, Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Department of Corrections, Goodwill Industries Big Bend, Kalo Companies (owner of Jersey Mike's Subs and Slim Chickens), Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend, Labor Finders, Publix, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Tallahassee Police Department and Waste Pro Tallahassee. Local resource partners will also join Better Together in offering various onsite services, including Bond Community Health Center, CareerSource Capital Region, Goodwill Industries Big Bend and Statewide Workforce Development.
The community job fairs are part of Better Together's "Better Jobs" program, which has helped more than 48,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states.
