JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Floridant -- Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty proudly announces the company has donated $19,185 to five local charitable organizations – Boy Scout Troop 15, the City of Atlantic Beach-AB Cares, K9s for Warriors, the Matanzas Riverkeeper and Fish Island Community Alliance. The funds were raised during the company's Luminaria initiative.
During the holiday season, luminaria kits were sold by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty. The kits were purchased from Pine Castle, a Jacksonville charitable organization that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental differences through opportunities to learn, work and connect. The company donated all of the proceeds to nonprofit organizations in Atlantic Beach, Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine.
Boy Scout Troop 15 has assisted the company with Luminaria kit sales at the Beaches branch office since the event began in 2016. The AB Cares Program helps those served by Atlantic Beach's water and sewer utility who need financial support. K9s for Warriors, located in Ponte Vedra, provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military Veterans at no financial cost. The Matanzas Riverkeeper is dedicated to ensuring that the Guana, Tolomato and Matanzas rivers remain clean and healthy, while Fish Island Community Alliance helps fund local environmental education, advocacy and outreach efforts.
