The free camp from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. is designed for children ages 8 to 12
NAPLES, Fla. - Floridant -- Avow Kids is offering "Spring Break: Camp Pause" for children 8 to 12 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 14-17 at Aunt Janet's House on the Avow campus, 1301 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples.
The camp is designed for children who are dealing with grief or loss and will include Avow Kids counselors and music therapist to renew minds, bodies and spirits.
On Tuesday, participants will connect with grief and loss by planning and implementing a Virtual Memorial Service. On Wednesday, self-care strategies will be presented by representatives of The Naples Players. On Thursday, participants will pause stress and anxiety with friends from Golden PAWS. Friday will focus on calming techniques of mind, body and spirit.

"In the past few years, children have been impacted by a lot of loss and trauma," said Lea Pascotto, manager of the Avow Kids program. "These camp sessions are designed to help children learn techniques for coping with any kind of loss."
The camp is free, but space is limited. Funding for the camp was funded in part by the Naples Children & Education Foundation, founders of the Naples Winter Wine Festival. For information or to register, email avowkids@avowcares.org call 239-261-4404.
