NAPLES, Fla. - Floridant -- Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples is ringing in the new year with an expansive lineup of movie events in January.
January programming includes the launch of In Memoriam, a new screening series honoring influential film icons lost in the past year, along with special film collections celebrating David Bowie and Dolly Parton. The month also marks the nationwide expansion of Alamo Drafthouse's long-running cult series Terror Tuesday and Weird Wednesday.
Throughout January, In Memoriam will spotlight performances that helped shape modern cinema, with weekly screenings of films including RESERVOIR DOGS, REAL GENIUS, THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, THE QUICK AND THE DEAD, REDS, BLOOD FOR DRACULA and WHEN HARRY MET SALLY. The series pays tribute to actors and directors whose work left a lasting mark on film history, including Val Kilmer, Robert Redford, Diane Keaton, Gene Hackman and Rob Reiner.
Music and film collide in Art Decade: Films of David Bowie, commemorating the 10th anniversary of Bowie's passing and his January birthday. Screenings include MOONAGE DAYDREAM on Jan. 11, CHRISTIANE F. on Jan. 27 and MERRY CHRISTMAS MR. LAWRENCE on Feb. 1, highlighting Bowie's diverse and influential acting career.

January also brings Dolly Weekend, celebrating Dolly Parton's 80th birthday on Jan. 19 with a STEEL MAGNOLIAS movie party on Jan. 18 featuring themed props and giveaways, a screening of 9 TO 5 on Jan. 19, and a screening of THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS on Jan. 20.
January will also feature THE TWILIGHT SAGA returning to the big screen with a monthlong series of interactive Movie Parties. Beginning Jan. 5, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples will screen all five films throughout the month — TWILIGHT, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 1 and THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 2 — each paired with a hosted Movie Party experience.
