ORLANDO, Fla. - Floridant -- The American College of Healthcare Executives held its annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership from March 20th to the 23rd in Chicago, Illinois. Over 5,000 attendees worldwide were in attendance, including multiple ACHE of Central Florida members and students. Our East Florida Regent Neil Mangus, MHA, FACHE, united the ACHE Florida chapters and, in doing so, joined a group of like-mind leaders who are passionate and dedicated to the progress of the healthcare industry. This group of leaders took full advantage of their time; they inspired and empowered one another and set the tone for this exceptional event.

Following an evening full of networking, our very own Dr. Kim Adelman premiered as a guest speaker for the session entitled "An AMC's approach to Reduce Unplanned Readmissions for High-Risk Patients," which highlighted the challenges encountered in readmission work and provided ways to overcome these difficulties. Throughout the event, our Central Florida Student Associates stepped in as Program Assistants who played an essential function in the flow of the conference.
