ESTERO, Fla. - Floridant -- 810 Billiards & Bowling in Estero is honoring National Oreo Day by delivering a sweet surprise to ice cream fans in Southwest Florida.

Dessert builders at the venue's Mean Mugs Milkshake Bar have begun hiding "Golden Oreo" cookies in its signature milkshakes, a prize that comes with an indulgent treat – a free milkshake or sundae, or a $15 gift card for arcade games. National Oreo Day is Thursday, March 6, but the promotion is expected to continue after the holiday.

"As children, we all fantasized about pulling a golden ticket from a candy bar and winning a lifetime supply of chocolate," said General Manager Joe Beach. "We tried to recapture that sense of nostalgia with our Golden Oreos, but we'll be awarding many more than just five prizes."

Mean Mugs Milkshake Bar's ice cream lineup includes 12 selections, each of which has milkshake and sundae versions. Dessert builders are randomly adding Golden Oreo cookies, which are vanilla sandwich cookies filled with classic Oreo creme filling, into two of Mean Mugs' most popular selections:

• The Cookie Monster: Lil' Blue Panda ice cream, chocolate dip with mini cookie crisps, cookie dough topping, Grandma chocolate chip cookie, fudge Oreos, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle.
• The Realist: cookies and cream ice cream, chocolate dip with Oreo crumbles, whipped cream, fudge Oreos, chocolate chips, Hershey rectangles and chocolate drizzle.

Customers who spot Golden Oreo cookies in their milkshakes or sundaes can immediately return to the counter to claim their prize.
